Scotsman: Revolutionizing Mobility with 3D Printed Carbon Fiber Scooter

Arevo Inc's Scotsman Scooter: A Masterpiece of Innovation and Design

Arevo Inc's Scotsman, an electric scooter, is a unique blend of innovation, technology, and design. Inspired by the global pandemic's need for private, convenient, and environmentally friendly modes of transportation, the Scotsman offers a solution that does not compromise power, range, portability, or aesthetics.

The Scotsman stands out from the crowd with its unique properties. It is the first scooter with a frame 3D printed from carbon fiber composite, resulting in a strong, light, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing structure. The scooter pushes the boundaries of what can be fit into a scooter, integrating a carbon fiber leaf spring shock absorption system and smart features for a smooth and convenient ride without bulky systems or external cables. The lighter, integrated frame allows the Scotsman to offer longer range and higher uphill power than scooters with the same motors and battery, while remaining robust and easy to carry.

The Scotsman's entire frame, including its handlebar, stem, fork, baseboard, suspension, battery bay, and other support structures, is crafted from thermoplastic carbon fiber composite. This makes the Scotsman a large, full-sized scooter with the power of high-performance electric vehicles, yet as light and portable as smaller, lower power scooters. The frame is 3D printed in a single pass for a streamlined design, but also designed for seamless integration with the smart features.

The Scotsman is equipped with a 2000W (or 1000W) dual motors, weighs 20kg, and has a 700Wh battery. It can reach a maximum range of 70km, a top speed of 73km/h (or 50km/h on the 1000W model), and can handle a maximum hill grade of 50% - 27 degrees (or 35% - 20 degrees on the 1000W model).

The scooter can auto lock and unlock when its owner approaches or walks away, thanks to a Bluetooth connection to the Scotsman app. A handlebar-mounted ultra-wide-angle 1080p dashcam can capture photos mid-ride or couple with GPS to help an owner locate their scooter. The LCD panel displays battery level, speed, riding mode, turn-by-turn navigation, distance traveled, and distance remaining. The app also lets an owner set maximum speed and select a riding mode.

The Scotsman was launched through a three-month crowdfunding campaign that began in May of 2021 and completed in August of 2021 with 600,000 US dollars raised. The design was a result of extensive research and overcoming creative, technical, and research challenges. Each of Scotsman’s elements were thoughtfully designed to integrate seamlessly with each other, resulting in a cohesive, streamlined design. The scooter was awarded Silver in A' Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Award in 2022, a testament to its outstanding design and innovation.

In conclusion, the Scotsman is a new category leader for premium, stylish, and eco-friendly transportation. It is the world's first fully connected, all carbon fiber scooter, designed to overcome the common trade-offs seen in most existing scooters. Its strong yet lightweight and aesthetically pleasing structure, along with its smart features, make it a remarkable piece of design and technology.
